Growing up in Portland, Maine, a resourceful creativity often led Theo into the woodshop instead of the shopping mall. He has since studied bladesmithing at the New England School of Metalwork and spent years of instruction in blacksmithing, woodworking, welding, and the arts. Theo has enjoyed dabbling in many crafts but has developed his focus on knives and mixed media furnishings. He does all his work in Portland, occasionally teaching out of the Open Bench Project. When not forging blades, Theo works part-time as a caseworkerat Preble Street and enjoys rockin’ the guitar.
