Recommended Uses: Scratch removal from a more aggressive stone early in a polishing progression; practicing water and slurry management on a medium hard stone that doesn't break the bank.
Notes: Akapin is the most superficial strata in most mines, and thus tend to be muddier, softer, and coarser then stones from deeper strata. This is a pleasant medium hardness stone that has nice feedback and decent scratch removal properties. More effective with a forced slurry. Best served with lighter pressure to reduce scratching deeper scratches as the particles are more aggressive than what the feedback would otherwise indicate. The center line can be felt, but in testing as had no negative impacts thus far.
